Seasonal Contracts

Get paid every month. Even in January.

Sell your lawn care and landscaping maintenance as a seasonal contract: one price for the season, paid in twelve equal payments. Seasonal Contracts sets each client up in Jobber, with every mowing and every cleanup on their service day.

Five lawn care companies get it free for three months, then half price for as long as they stay. Or email support@descubri.app.

How a year runs with Seasonal Contracts, from building your programs to renewing them.

  1. November

    Build your programs

Weekly mowing from April to November, spring cleanup, mulch, aeration and fall leaves, for one season price. Or start from a ready-made program priced from your own jobs where you have them.

  2. December to February

    Sign your clients up

Bring in your recurring clients from Jobber in one go, or add them one by one. Each gets a draft showing every visit and payment, and can approve it on a Jobber quote first.

  3. March

    Add them to Jobber

One recurring job per client with level monthly billing, and every visit on their service day, including the one-off services at the right time of year. The app sends your clients nothing itself; Jobber's usual visit reminders still go out, so check your reminder settings first.

  4. April to November

    Jobber runs the season

Your crews work from Jobber as usual. You see what each client has received, been billed and paid, then renew everyone for next season.

Lawn care maintenance contracts, set up in Jobber

Every visit of the season, before it goes in

Each client's season on one calendar: mowing on their service day, spring cleanup and mulch in spring, aeration in September and leaves in November. Start a client in June and the price covers only what's left; drop a service or add an extra and it suggests the new price.

April on a client's season calendar: weekly mowing every Thursday, spring cleanup on April 1 and mulch on April 15, with the season's other services listed above.

Programs priced from your own numbers

Start from Full Care, Mowing Plus or Mowing Only, priced from the middle of your weekly mowing jobs and your Jobber products, or typical prices where you don't have them yet. Services a smaller program leaves out become add-ons clients can tick on their quote.

The ready-made Full Care program: five services for $2,380 a season, 12 payments of $198.33, $120 under the same services one by one.

Earned, billed and paid, client by client

Jobber keeps doing the work. Seasonal Contracts reads it back and shows what each client has received against what they've been billed and paid, so a mid-season cancellation ends with a fair final invoice.

One client's numbers from Jobber: price, earned so far, billed and paid, and visits done of planned for each service.

Renew everyone for next season

Pick the clients to renew, add a percentage or use the program's current price, and next season's drafts are ready with the same property, service day and setup.

Renewing clients for next season at their price plus 5%, with each client's current and new price.

Priced by active programs

For lawn care and landscaping companies of any size. You pay for each client program that's in Jobber and still in its season; building programs and drafts is free.

Questions owners ask

Does Jobber have maintenance agreements?

Not as their own feature: Jobber runs recurring jobs. Seasonal Contracts adds the agreement on top, with the season price, the monthly payments, every visit and next season's renewal, all set up as one recurring job per client.

Does it send anything to my clients?

No. Seasonal Contracts never emails or texts your clients and never notifies your team. Jobber still sends its own visit reminders and invoices the way you've set them up.

Do I have to leave Jobber?

No. It works with your Jobber account. Clients, schedules, crews and invoices stay in Jobber, and your crews keep using the Jobber app.

How does the monthly billing work?

Each client gets one recurring job in Jobber with level monthly billing. On each billing date Jobber reminds you to invoice. If you turn on Jobber's automatic payments for the job, Jobber charges the card on file instead.

What happens if a client cancels mid-season?

Cancel their program and it removes the visits left and stops the billing. If they've had more work than they've been billed for, it can draft a final invoice you check in Jobber; if they've paid ahead, you refund them in Jobber.

Can clients approve their program first?

Yes. Ask for approval and it makes a quote in Jobber with the season price and the payments, plus any add-ons you offer. You send it from Jobber; when the client approves, their program usually goes in by itself, and if anything changed it waits for you with a note.

What's an active program?

One client's program that's in Jobber and whose season hasn't ended. Drafts, quotes and cancelled programs don't count toward your plan.

What if I stop paying for Seasonal Contracts?

Everything already in Jobber keeps running, because Jobber runs it. You can't add new programs or ask clients to approve quotes until you pick a plan again.

Is my data safe?

Your Jobber connection is encrypted, each company only ever sees its own data, and we never sell it or share it for advertising. The privacy policy has the details.
